IEEE-EPPC Panel to Explore Sustainability and Social Implications of Large-Scale IoT Deployment

The IEEE European Public Policy Committee is hosting a panel session by experts in the field of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies to look at energy consumption, efficiency and sustainability issues related to the large-scale deployment of IoT technologies in various contexts, including environmental monitoring, agriculture, smart mobility, smart cities, and Industry 4.0.

The session is designed to highlight the social, economic, and environmental impacts of large-scale IoT deployment and has relevance to researchers, government regulators, industry planners and standard-setting organizations.   The panel is scheduled for 27 Oct. 2021 as part of the IEEE International Conference on Communications, Control, and Computing Technologies for Smart Grids (Oct. 25-28) in Aachen, Germany.
