IEEE’s Internet Inclusion Meets in Washington, DC (16 Oct. 2017)

 

On 16 Oct. 2017, IEEE held its Internet Inclusion: Advancing Solutions (IIAS) event at The George Washington University, Marvin Center in Washington, DC.  The full-day meeting, featured working sessions of the seven IIAS working groups to progress their work, share information, report on new developments, and work toward collective action for advancing solutions for internet inclusion that is affordable, meaningful, and sustainable. This event is part of IEEE’s overall internet inclusion series held around the world, including Washington, D.C., New Delhi, Tel Aviv, Geneva, Joao Passoa, Guadalajara, and Windhoek, and we are pleased to be back in Washington, D.C.

Post Note:  More than 120 stakeholders convened for Internet Inclusion: Advancing Solutions-Washington, D.C. The program included a roundtable discussion on “Advancing Solutions for Digital Inclusion,” followed by a presentation led by the Alliance for Affordable Internet and the Web Foundation to share findings and initial recommendations of a new Working Group on Multilateral Development Banks (WG-MDBs) research project.
