IEEE Outlines Principles for Standards Development

In a position statement adopted by the IEEE Board of Directors on 20 Nov. 2016, IEEE advocates for a set of standards development principles designed to promote voluntary cooperation among interested parties and stakeholders, and enable technical excellence, global interoperability, and innovation to foster economic growth and societal prosperity.  This principals are employed by the IEEE Standards Association in it standardization work.
